About Me

Hi I'm Sam, the creative face behind the jewellery and workshops. I'm so happy you have found me!

I am a mum of two rapidly growing children, two elderly cats and two very amusing rabbits!

Along with being a mum and making jewellery, I also work part time for a Not for Profit organisation which I enjoy. This gives me balance between creativity and using my brain in other ways.

My career path along the way has been pretty varied. I started my working life as a TA working with children who had physical needs before moving to work in IT for large retail company. I've always enjoyed dabbling in different crafts though and find being creative very therapeutic.

I discovered jewellery making in 2016, while I was on a career break looking after my 2 children and started my first business in 2017.

'Bead Creative' began with children's bead parties and workshops along with adult bead jewellery making. When Covid hit unfortunately workshops became very difficult. It was also around this time that I started metalsmithing.

Since then I have taken in-person workshops, other online training and completing two silver diplomas - Diploma in Silver Jewellery and Diploma in Fine Jewellery.

I've always enjoyed teaching and coaching and this is why it feels right for me to offer my technical skills in workshops for you to enjoy making beautiful jewellery.

Why Elande Jewellery

You might be wondering where the name came from. It's simply a mash up of my children's names.

Ella and Alexander - Elande

So how is it pronounced?

I'm originally from Birmingham so I say it as if I was saying 'and'. El-and
